Imagine you are the head administrator at Well Being Hospital, a hypothetical local health care facility. Your task is to communicate with Get Well Drugs, a major U.S. pharmaceutical manufacturer, in order to determine if the drugs supplied by this manufacturer are within benchmark standards set forth by the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and are thus suitable for use at your hospital. Specifically, you have to report your findings to the health care professionals who use these medications.
Note: You may create and / or make all necessary assumptions needed for the completion of this assignment.
Write a three to four (3-4) page paper in which you:
1.Recommend a strategy for communication with Get Well Drugs in order to determine if the drugs supplied by this manufacturer are within benchmark standards set forth by the FDA. 2.Outline a plan for asking questions directed toward Get Well Drugs about any FDA regulations which may be applicable to your local hospital. 3.Outline a plan for communicating these findings to a local consortium of nurses and physicians at your hospital. This plan must include, at a minimum, the cost of the drugs, as well as the types of drugs for use in mental, behavioral, and general services. 4.Conclude your findings, in which you suggest the pros and cons of using Get Well Drugs. 5.Use at least four (4) quality academic resources in this assignment. Communication Strategy – GetWell Drugs
Any strategy change and implementation requires communicating the framework and roadmap for the future. Also, it is imperative to let the stakeholders to know about the challenges, effects and outcomes of the strategic change. Following details show the ways to implement the dissemination of project outcomes.
Strategy for disseminating significance of the proposed solution to the various stakeholders
1. Workshops: One way is to make sure those physicians and other healthcare professionals realize the effectiveness of the drugs and other products from GetWell Drugs. This can be done by making sure that the work on real cases and patients in actual settings. The experts will arrange a field study that will enable the healthcare professionals to understand the effectiveness. (Harmsworth and Turpin, 2000).
2. Conferences: Second way to incorporate the strategy of drugs and other products from GetWell Drugs is to conduct weekly seminars and meetings by health care experts and taking care of the views of the nurses also. They should be made to realize that drugs and other products from GetWell Drugs can dramatically change patient care outcomes and potentially eliminate the costs incurred by hospitals (Harmsworth and Turpin, 2000).
3. Results driven reports: Finally, the healthcare professionals should be made to go through the reports that show that drugs and other products from GetWell Drugs. (Harmsworth and Turpin, 2000).
Strategy for disseminating significance of project outcomes to all the stakeholders
1. Presentations: The stakeholders like physicians, patients and other healthcare professionals will be communicated by presentations having the strategic framework, challenges of implementation and proposed outcomes after the implementation of drugs and other products from GetWell Drugs. It should also have the quantitative and qualitative aspects related to it (Harmsworth and Turpin, 2000).
2. Seminars: The stakeholders mentioned above can be provided an interactive platform to participate and know about the various aspects of the drugs and other products from GetWell Drugs. (Harmsworth and Turpin, 2000).
3. 1. It should also have the quantitative and qualitative aspects related to it (Harmsworth and Turpin, 2000).

3. Cultural change: The most important way to disseminate the significance of this project is to change the culture and take it towards the holistic care and assistance to be provided by the hospital staff to the patients. This cultural change will enable the stakeholders to anticipate the change and accept it. (Harmsworth and Turpin, 2000).
The above plan to disseminate the strategic outcomes to the stakeholders and nursing community will enable an effective and focused approach to the plan of hourly rounding of the nurses to prevent the patients’ fall.Conclusion
Based on the above survey and information the following pros and cons of the GetWell drugs can be communicated to the various health professionals working in the hospital. The GetWell drugs is complaint with the packaging, sales and distribution of the drugs as per FDA. The company does not fulfill the criteria for the advertising and direct marketing of the prescription drugs. FDA does not allow the medical representatives of the drug company to put forth the generic counterparts of any drug in the positive light if it does not meet the FDA criteria for the manufacturing practices. But, this norm is violated by the company and this goes against the FDA guidelines. The most important aspect of the FDA guidelines which is fulfillment of the cost ceiling is not met by the company and hence customers who cannot afford to spend on higher cost variants cannot be prescribed such drugs.
